Who doesn’t want to be known as that well put together lady next door, or the the aunt who is so well put together that all her nieces want to be her when they grow up. Staying elegant is not always easy in our busy lifestyles.
So here is a very short and sweet article to help you stay chic everyday with minimal effort

They are five things that you need to stay on top of.
These are your hair, nails, eye brows, skin and a go to uniform this is either a capsule collection of clothes that is within the same colour family. making it easy for you to put together an outfit and look effortlessly chic at any given time.
Lets start with the hair.
This is one aspect of looking chic that is extremely important.
A woman’s hair is part of her identity, how she choose to wear it is up to her.
I am here to help those who think they can do with some enhancement of their current hair routine.
Hair is actually very important to how we look, because it either makes or breaks an outfit just like shoes. Haircare is self care; make it a priority, take vitamins, have a routine that includes good quality products for your hair type also have an easy go to hairstyle for when you are in a hurry.
You can always tie it back in a sleek high, low or top bun.
Nothing says effortless edge like a sleek bun.
If you wear a wig, have a nice well maintained wig that you can fall back on when you need it.
Have your hair done and ready to go at least once a week.
Nails
Where do I start!
Short to medium well kept nails are as elegant as it gets.
If you can’t keep up with manicures and colour keep them natural.
If you can choose to have them
polished do it in your favourite classic colour or a subtle nail art.
If you use gel polish this can be a two to three weekly maintenance cost.
If you do it yourself at home get good quality nail polish like Essie or Nails inc they both have three step gel nail polish kit that doesn’t need a uv lamp.
Essie Gel couture long water nail polish gives a genuine shine which I can attest to, as this is my favourite DIY formula.
It lasts in me approximately 7 days.
My favourite autumn winter colour is drop the gown.
I always use a base coat, hence I called it a 3 step process.
Make sure you always remove the nail polish once it starts chipping, it’s not a good look and it takes away for the chic presentation we are going for.
Make time for your nails this as it’s extremely important for the overall look to come together during the week when you are busy.

Brows
The best advice I ever got from vogue is, leave your brows to professionals.
I have been going to the same person for my brows for over 10 years and you can tell.
I used to need a brow touch up every three weeks but because of consistency, I survived lockdown without much struggle
my brows kept their shape and they are in tip top condition.
I always have them coloured and threaded.
However, if you are challenged in that department consider micro blading, so you can keep a well put together brow permanently.
That’s one problem down, avoid the temptation to do it yourself unless you are experienced.

Skin
This is another important element of looking elegant glowing skin tells those around you that you have standards and take good care of yourself. It allows you not to feel compelled to wear makeup and just boosts confidence.
Every woman must make sure she has a good skincare routine that is simple and effective so as to have a dewiness to the skin always.
You can watch my video on how to start a skincare routine from scratch.
Get a uniform
When I say get a uniform I mean have clothes at hand that can easily be paired together to create a chic outfit.
Here are a few style tips to curate a go to uniform.
Good quality fabric cottons, linens and cashmere.
Use basic neutrals that suit your skin tone.
Get good underwear shape wear this is a must.
Get your clothes tailored if they are too big, too small or just don’t fit well.
Know the colours that suit you and styles that suits your body shape.
It might be worth getting a stylist if you are not sure how to achieve this.
Remember less is more always.
