Elevating yourself life style to a place that makes you are comfortable in is self-care.
When people talk about self care Sunday I am often guilty of picturing them taking long baths, curating indulgent skincare routines etc.
Hear me out, I am not saying these are not important aspects of holistic well being however it mustn’t end there.

About a year ago It Finally dawned on me that if I wasn’t happy with a particular situation in my life taking steps to change this was also part of looking after myself.
I am going to throw myself out there and be genuinely honest with you.
At that particular point in my life I knew the lifestyle I aspired to and my chosen career where not aligned.
To make matters worse my job was taking a toll on my peace of mind for what I thought was very insignificant reward.
“I remember saying to myself I wasn’t born to just work, pay bills and died, this I now know for sure.”
I can confidently say that is the moment I had a mindset shift.
Crazy as it my sound I started entertaining the idea that I could earn more money doing something else.
On the side I was blogging for fun already getting free products and getting paid sporadically.
Still working full-time which never really allowed me to discover the potential that blogging had to become a fully paid job.
Thank goodness for some of the worst things that happen to us because in that misfortune lies the greatest potential. (Story for another day)
I knew after a while of self reflection that I was unemployable and would never be content until I tried something different that would allow me to earn a little more than my 9-5.
So I decided to start a business the first one didn't work out another long story. However, the experience I got from it was invaluable, it was the most expensive crash course in business, a hard lesson that turned out to be gold.
Mistake 1
This is what I did that you shouldn’t, waste time listening to self help gurus! it’s a scam, unless you are given a blue print of a proven method
that has been replicated at least 3 times and has proven results.
Example is of this is an Australian girl who started skinny me tea, went on to start the 5TH a multimillion dollar watch company and another company all of which all 3 are now 7 Figure income companies And still growing.
she has managed to use her blue print 3 times with exactly the same results which means it works.
She has also sold her business guide to other ordinary people who are now success stories.
Now this is the kind of expert you should consider.
As for the rest save your money because they are looking to make money just like you.
Think about it if you have a successful company why would you be wasting time coaching people for money.
Yes I understand diversification but what a difficult route to take.
If you have become financialy stable why not mentor others for free via blogs videos etc.
I don’t what you think this is just my two cents.
One person who does this well at mentorship for free is Karin Bohn on YouTube.
Mistake 2
Too quick to leave your job, if your 9-5 is funding your hustle keep it.
Be strategic about your next move, if it’s taking too much time then save as much as you can.
You will need to save money for the business and have savings to live off once you are done with the job in question.
Unless you have the option to live at home with your parents or have a partner who can support you both.
Rather Go part time before quitting work completely while you validate to business model. Also bear in mind entrepreneurship is not for everyone despite what social media might lead you to believe.
It’s harder than being employed and that’s a fact.
What to do
Search within yourself make sure this is what you want to do.
Try and go into business doing something you really enjoy something you won’t get fed up off, even if things are not going your way.
Have patience it takes time to learn the ins and out of an industry.
Strategy is your key to success.
Concentrate on a few areas that bring you customers retain those customers, then expand once you can comfortably deliver to this group set.
Avoid being spread too thin it will
lead to poor customer service and low retention rate.
Practice saying no to offers that might bring in revenue but don’t align with your goals or values.
Be an expert in your field.
Above all believe in yourself because self doubt will set in often.
The urge to quit and do what’s easy will be a temptation too.
Also have an end game in mind do you plan to create a legacy brand, sell and enjoy retirement the choice is yours. Resources that might be helpful are linked below.
