skincare served on board

In skin brightening, trends have come and gone but the gold standard ingredients have remained which are Vitamin C & Vitamin B (Niacinamide).

My personal experience in skincare, trying out different products has always led me back to either a cocktail, of these two ingredients, in one product or a much more simplified formula of a stand alone ingredient formulation

Of course, I tend to gravitate towards one multitasking product, instead of multiple jars of product, these howeve; come with their own downside.

Strong active formulation can be easily irritating, which means too many actives in one formulation can lead to an increased chance of sensitivity in my skin which is already semi sensitive.

But that never stops me from scouring for the fountain of youth and glow.

But being true to form I am always happy to try new formulations or reformulations; such as these two. They have been the latest addition to my long list of products I loved enough to join the hall of fame, welcome Vichy Liftactiv.

Vichy Liftactiv specialist B3 serum contains 5% Niacinamide; let's talk about this highly favoured ingredient in the skincare community for a moment.

I do hope that by now we all know that Niacinamide is like money; it's everyone’s best friend.

It helps to fight acne and breakouts, gives the illusion of minimized pores.

Also brightens dark spots that’s before its other age related benefits.

Mostly without irritation on most skin types.

The B3 serum I have been trying is by Vichy it is slightly runny in consistency think of a sugar syrup maybe very slightly thicker.

It applies like water would do a little messy, I am tempted to spritz it instead if could.

On contact with skin it’s as gentle as it gets no tingling or any unwanted sensations that I have come to associate with result driven skincare.

Below are the before and after photos I took to see any improvement in my skin, I have to say I used the vitamin B along side the Supreme vitamin C serum which is also by Vichy.

Before that I was using the Vitamin C by Garnier which you can watch my review here.

I loved that one too it's a great alternative if this one is a bit too strong for your skin.

For me to see significant results it took about a week to be able to see some improvement in my skin texture and brightness, getting even better with continued consistent use.

The combination of these two was fire but when I apply the Vitamin C it stings slightly this can not be avoided whenever i used vitamin c products, I am used to that tingle and I like it, I feel

like the product is working. But don’t listen to me on this, do what your skin can tolerate without inducing damage.

The Vichy Liftactiv Vitamin C serum is slightly thicker in consistency.

Layers well under makeup and other products.

doesn’t peel or leave a tucky feeling.

In my opinion it does what it says in the tin. It has a stronger scent than the vitamin B but nothing too strong plus it’s doesn’t linger.

Feels good to use and produces results fast enough by brightening dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

It's addictive.

The best information on their website for me is
