Good skincare habits like any other endeavor in life don't come naturally to most of us. However, they can be nurtured and developed.
Skincare is an important aspect of grooming oneself as a sign of self love, it doesn't stop there good skincare happens to be aligned with wellness too.
Good skin health is health care we have come to believe, I could go on about how dry skin affects individuals and how prone one becomes to germs when skin is dry.
It's well established that acne can cause low self esteem in those that suffer from it hence I emphasise the relationship of wellness and skincare.
Here is what I know for sure works in bring a glow to the skin and if anyone is consistent they should see a change in their skin in time.
Double cleansing
We recommend you wash your skin twice a day, double cleansing at night.
If you haven't been doing this results are almost instant.
Use a gentle cleanser like oil to milk cleanser cream cleanser or mild foaming cleanser.
This is by far the action that takes up most of your time because if done right this is what is going to elevate your skincare game to the next level.
Notice if you have ever been to a spa how they get your skin clean first before they start applying any products to your skin.
This is so that the epidermis is ready for the skincare cocktails to follow allowing them to be absorbed and activated revealing healthy glowing skin in time.
Depending on age get to exfoliate your skin
Now this is the thing, earlier own in life your skin is extremely good at what it does,
so it’s doesn’t need as much help or support from products.
In your 20’s you can get away with pretty much just cleansing, spritzing a toner and a moisturiser then you are done.
As we get older, or if you have poor lifestyle choices the skin might need a little extra help to get going and look dewy.
Otherwise dull dry skin that lacks lustre will be the norm.

Try using exfoliating masks like the Ordinary’s peeling mask or REN Clean Skincare Glycol Lactic Radiance Mask.
if you prefer a leave on product then exfoliating toners are also worth a shot.
However, word of warning don’t get addicted to the glow, too much of everything can be a bad thing. If you over exfoliate your skin it will become sensitive and can produce other unwanted skin issues.
Also when using exfoliating products always wear spf and reapply it throughout the day as needed.
Massage can be both therapeutic and beneficial to the skin.

You can use your hands to massage your face and neck or if you prefer facial massage tools are also helpful.
Besides the feel good and tranquility a facial massage can trigger, it is also be great for blood circulation, easing tension and revealing glowing skin.

Hydrate
Now after cleansing hydration is probably the single culprit responsible for those glossy glass looks you see on youtubers and K-beauty bloggers.
Of Course you do it from the inside out, drinking water eating your water by way of cucumbers etc but we are just talking about products here that would help dry, oily or normal skin to retain hydration.
All skin types need hydration because a good percentage of our skin is a composition of lipids and water.
Without hydration oily skin will start to compensate by producing even more oil resulting in extra oily skin.
As for dry skin the flaky, dull tired look is never cute, hyaluronic acid is the buzz for dehydrated skin woes, but the very underrated aloe vera is also just as good at hydrating skin if not better.
Sheet masks work well however they might not be environmentally friendly so these products might be what you might want to try.

Avoid the sun and wear sunscreen
Finally avoid too much sun exposure, the sun ages your skin faster than an other natural element, if sunspots premature wrinkles and the risk of skin cancer is not enough to scare you, I don't know what to say that will keep you out of the sun.
Key word just be sensible. Wear sunscreen hats and sunglasses that give you sun protection.
