Tweak your routine
We tend to realise that even the oiliest of skin gets dehydrated over winter.
And I know that people say that sheet masks in skincare are not that necessary I beg to differ on this.
In extreme weather try using a sheet mask every other day and see if you do not notice a difference in your skin routine.
Make sure the ingredients in the sheet mask are hydrating and soothing the holygrail being hylaronic acid or aloe vera why not try this Garnier Fresh-Mix Replumping Face Sheet Shot Mask with Hyaluronic Acid
Sheet masks work by holding in moisture to then forcing it to absorb as much moisture as it can before the liquid starts to dry out unlike the alternative where evaporation happens much too quickly to ensure extra hydration is retained by the skin surface.
Add a humidifier to your bedroom or work space
Because of the fluctuating air in the environment from hot to cold all day central this extreme temperature changes sometimes causes havoc on the skin.
"A humidifier allows us to control the environment, which is a great way to control the skin," explains New York City dermatologist Paul Jarrod Frank.
By adding a humidifier you are able to maintain moisture levels on your skin which can be reduced by the Low humidity level, this in-turn degrades the skin's natural moisture barrier, which can lead to flaking, cracking, and peeling resulting in dry dull skin.
Don't shy away from facial oils
Face oils will help seal in hydration use them as the last step in your skincare routine.
On a clean dry canvas (this is your skin)
start with a mist preferably a treatment might contain vitamin b and soothing botanical waters e.g Dear, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist
Sheet mask as recommended above , the follow on with a face oil such as this
Simple tweaks such as this will see your skin get through winter pretty much glowing.
