Nothing says she’s got her life together like a well groomed, glowing lady or gentleman.
That being said this can be an expensive endeavour.
I don’t care what anyone says personal grooming is an investment.
I just spent £50 in Boots trying to find good quality products that you can use everyday as part of your well-being self elevation journey.
Don’t be irresponsible, to keep up with he Jones invest in your groom at a budget that you can afford.
This is the whole purpose of my blog. I love and enjoy luxury but I can't afford it all the time.
Instagram sometimes makes me think at my age I should be able to afford Chanel or Dior shower gel and body scrub everyday.
It simply is not the case, in short what I am trying to say is do you as long as it helps you feel good and look well put together.
Where to start
Research beauty blogs they are usually very good in giving you leads to some of the best products on the market at any budget.
Now where do you start when creating a pamper routine! The Lon and short of it is if your skin is healthy and hydrated you will need less coverage that means your will need less makeup on your face. So this is a good place to start.
What I would do is put together a skincare routine one for the day the other for night time.
Check this blog post for ideas on how to create a skincare routine.
Then have a once a week body care ritual where you scrub, mask and moisturise your entire body here is another post to inspire your body care.

Also quick check list on how to create your skincare routine.
You need two cleansers an oil based cleanser and a gentle gel or foaming cleanser for mature skin, make it a cream cleanser like this one from cerave.
Find an exfoliator best for your skin type, if you have oily skin, glycolic acid tends to work best, for sensitive skin lactic acid and mandalic acid works wonders and for acne prone skin salicylic acid is very good I think you get the idea.
Here is a highly reviewed 2% BHA liquid exfoliant by Paula's choice.
You also need a serum to target a specific problem (eg Vitamin C in the morning to protect against environmental aggressors and help with hyperpigmantaion. Then a Retinol serum that can be used at night this helps with signs of ageing and even acne related issues.
It is always nice to have a nice comforting hydrating moisturiser and a face oil in your cabinet.
Sunscrean is a must try this one from Eucerin sun control face protection
Here are some picks from the drug store that I came across recently and could be great additions to your routine.
The No7 Nourishing cleansing balm is a very simple £9 cleanser.
That will do the job of removing your makeup not to be used on the eyes so a separate eye makeup remover will be needed. I have to say I used it on my own eyes nothing happened no irritation but be careful anyway.
It is generally a good cleanser does the job at hand nothing more.
This is 125g Jar, that will last you a month if you use it sparingly so if its a simple cleanser you are after this is not a bad start.
A sheet mask is also a good idea if it’s glass skin you are after. I find sheet masks lock in moisture and pushes the product further into the skin (debatable) but in my head this is what I think happens so I continue to use them, this is just my own non evidence based opinion.
Incase you missed it I am a die hard fan of sheet mask. Garnier have created more eco friendly Ampoule sheet mask range that are concentrated which you only need to wear for 5 minute.
They come in a variety of serums vitamin c, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide.
They are vegan and bio degradable the later was still under research April 2021
packaging is 42% smaller the the predecessor.
They have been approved cruelty free its fair to say they are winning right now and I am loving their products.

Now that you have the go to basics of skin down lets talks about hair.
I never quite feel put together unless my hair looks decent, I mean washed smelling good, and looking neat.
Haircare in my opinion makes or breaks the elegant lady concept and the one thing that helps me tame the mane is a good hair mask.
The one in rotation in our bathroom at the moment is the 98% natural formula by Garnier I bought this one on offer £3.99.
It leaves my hair so soft and manageable with a nice gloss to it without using silicones.

I just recently started wearing eyeliner and I realised hw much it elevates a simple no makeup look. This was one thing that was missing from entire makeup routine a good eye liner, I really like the Victoria Beckham Satin Kajal Liner for £22 but wanted to stick with my drugstore price range so I found the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen for £12.
It glides on the eye lid like silk and it stays put all day definitely a winner in my book.

Finally let me suggest some
Great finds for the body and the prefect no makeup makeup look.
If you take nothing away from this blog post do your body a favour and get this Aveeno set, their daily moisturising yogurt body wash and body cream.
These two have revolutionised my daily bodycare routine, I use the body cream at night and when I wakeup in the morning my skin is still hydrated and feels so good.
As for the finishing touch to the skin on a daily basis this Pai impossible glow mixed into my moisturiser with a few pumps of skin paradise tinted water cream by L'oreal.
Then complete the look by applying the glossier lash slick mascara its the best no fuss mascara I have tried in a long while, it deserves a post of its own so for now I will leave it here.
